Sexual and reproductive health and rights

Gender equality is impossible without sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). The two are so closely related that if you are running a gender equality program, you are probably already addressing sexual and reproductive health and rights in some way.

SRHR is a complex topic that affects everyone – especially women, girls, and LGBTQI groups. It is also important for men and boys, whose needs around sexual and reproductive health and rights are often overlooked. In gender equality work, you will come across SRHR’ in reports, on social media, and in communications from a range of organizations working on gender, international development, public health, and policy.

With these points in mind, SRHR is important to understand for anyone working for gender justice with men and boys, or on masculinities.
